Christmas Joy Sharing with Girl Children from Broken Families

St. James’ church was delighted to host the girls of Kilkari home on December 21st. The residents of the Kilkari rainbow home are young girls who were full of life and laughter. It gave us immense joy to have them amongst us once again during this Christmas season where we were thrilled to spend an afternoon with them. The itinerary to keep these girls engaged was prepared to keep in mind the sparkle and enthusiasm they carried to us as season’s greeting to us. They were served a sumptuous lunch when they arrived accompanied by their teacher’s post which they were recipients of a short film that narrated the story of the birth of Christ. The afternoon was further dotted with games and activities that allowed the kids to bond with their peers and us. We the members of the congregation made sure that each one of them was involved and felt the essence and fulfillment this season promises. Last but by no means the least, the Santa gave them a great time of laughter and showered them with a hamper of goodies. The girls were overjoyed when they were served a hot cup of tea and their happiness knew no bounds when they received the gifts. We were blessed to spread joy and cheer in the lives of these children and we are certain while they proceeded back to their home they took along good memories, true and meaningful message of Christmas and fervent richness in the spirit of our Lord Jesus. The young girls bid adieu to our pastor and all the members present with their heartwarming smiles.
